Create an itinerary including Vung Bau Beach
Unwind at Vung Bau Beach, an isolated long curving stretch of sand in front of a jungle. Secluded, peaceful and 4.5 km (2.8 mi) long, you can find a good spot for skinny dipping. During a walk you can see starfish and conchs and some sea urchins. Paddle a boat, snorkel or scuba dive all of which you can rent from shacks. There is also a beach restaurant providing food and drinks. When sea is calm, this makes a good spot for family visits as the beach gently slopes into the blue sea with long shallows. The foliage is a mix of tall grass, flowers and shrubs and a combination of poplar and coconut palm trees. Plan my trip to Cua Can with suggested itineraries provided by Inspirock.

  • Untouched beach in Phu Quoc that I hope not many crowds can reach here or resorts should not appear to destroy the surroundings.

  • After reading about this place on Vietnam Coracle, I wanted to go see it. It was heralded as a beach untouched by the disastrous development present at other beaches. The author wrote his article a couple of years ago and said it was only a matter of time before this beach was ruined as well. As of January 2022, his prediction came true. We had a difficult time getting to this beach. Multiple entrances are blocked off by fences manned by young men who will not let you through. Eventually one of the men pitied us and let us enter. This was after about 30 minutes of trying to get in off the main road. It was totally not worth it. The beach was nothing special and was covered in litter. There is also some questionable development going on right off of the beach with unfriendly signs warning visitors to stay away. I should’ve heeded this advice. It’s unclear what they are up to but it seems sketchy. Don’t waste your time.
  • A nice hidden beach that has been turned into a resort project. Guards demand that you must leave your motorbike at the entrance and continue to the beach on foot. The scenery is 5/5 but the resort deserve 1/5
