War Remnants Museum delivers a somber account of the horrors of the Vietnam War and other wars of colonialist aggression that have plagued the Vietnamese people. The museum's exhibits may contain a heavy dose of one-sided anti-American sentiment, but they well represent residual American--and other foreign--weaponry and the destruction it wreaked. Look for the French guillotine used to execute prisoners and for the unexploded ordnance stored in a corner of the yard. This was not only nice to see, but re-affirms something that tourists from the West should really understand history and consider it when travelling and speaking with others.

Such a jaw dropping, tear jerking experience. I would recommend everyone to come here before beginning their trip throughout Vietnam to have a better understanding of what this country and the people have been through the last 100 years. 40 Entrance fee Well set up AC in display area Clean restrooms Very informative Prepare to see highly graphic pictures and videos

Very good museum. Very instructive. When you get out, you have learnt, you have felt, your guts have felt. No Interactivity, lot of reading, but great pictures, good photography. Comments on every pictures are full of details, about the context and the feeling too. I had regular expectations, for a regular museum. I found it mind blowing, and spend a good 4 to 5 hours in there. I felt something in my guts. A must do to "appreciate" the war in all its ways , details and history/context
