KN Golf Links Cam Ranh, Cam Ranh

Why does a highly rated & expensive golf course such as KN Golf Links allow untrained caddies out with paying customers? Answer, because it probably does not care enough once they have your green fee. I played here recently and in our 4 ball, we had one caddy that was trained (as she had a caddy number) and the 3 other caddies were either trainees or inexperienced caddies. This is totally unacceptable when this course is charging premium rates & carry the name of Greg Norman. I was so looking forward to playing here but was left disappointed. The course (fairways) was in good condition but the greens were almost unplayable because they were so slow. Having a knowledgeable caddy can make or break a round of golf, and sadly my caddy was just not up to the job. She was nice, happy, smiling but was just not able to see where longer shots were landing. She tried hard, but like the other caddies in our group was not properly trained & this is a problem created by the course and not the caddies. We did eat at the restaurant, the food was OK & the beer was cold, so those were positives. The locker rooms were to a high standard as I would expect at such a premium course. Carts are compulsory and not allowed on the course, they must stay on the cart path. This did create some problems for the caddy. The impressive views over the bay are not so great, as there is significant construction happening around the course, that looks like a new course it being built within the current course. I doubt that I will play here again based on my own experience
