We had so much fun. The museum was interesting and well put together. The scavenger hunt was fun even for full grown adults plus you got to see some hidden gems ( literally). 10/10 would go again.

I was excited for this place mostly because I figured my son would enjoy it. But it ended up being one of my favorite places we went! I was impressed with how much they packed into what seemed like a compact space from the outside. We got tickets online and it was easy to check in. The exhibits and collections were top notch and very informative. There were a lot of neat interactive elements too, including a scavenger hunt for the kids that was actually quite fun and challenging (though not too bad). There's a little room where you can hear a 3-minute audio show and they make the benches move and it's really fun! Cute gift shop with reasonable prices and a unique selection. Definitely stop in!

Great education and hands-on fun! Scavenger hunt added excitement. The below deck experience told a harrowing tale, but was worth it. Beware if you have have a fear of the dark or anxiety, otherwise it was great. The rest of the museum gave you insight to the lives of pirates and helped to humanize the legends. The sales rep at the end was also very informative and educated us on why they were called "pieces of eight." We loved this experience and only wish we had brought our son along
