As the only west-facing beach on Sanibel Island, Bowman's Beach is considered to have the best sunset views and is noted for its more adventurous bayou area. Miles of scenic shoreline along this beach are almost completely unobstructed, as this is one of the least-developed, and therefore most naturally beautiful, areas of the island. In addition to beachside activities, you can watch wildlife from the nearby bridge or take a kayak ride. The parking lot for this beach is a 10-minute walk from the beach itself, but many visitors believe this peaceful stretch of paradise is worth the trek. Really nice beach, it's kinda secluded but when you get there then first find a parking spot, then go to the machine and it's $5.00 per hour, get your ticket and place it on your vehicle dash, they do check even over the weekend. Next gather all your beach stuff a you gotta walk at least 1/4 mile with all your gear🙄 we were a family of five so imagine by the time we made it to the beach we were all destroyed from pulling the carts over the sugar sand. Now the good stuff, beautiful beach, lots of sea shells ( a lot ) the water is very shallow, you walk about 1,000 feet in and it's pretty much to your knees, the kids loved it, actually we all loved it. But it's a workout. Be ready go with a lot of help to carry everything in to the beach. Enjoy!

Beautiful large beach with shells. So much beach to walk and explore. Even on busy beach days able to find a quiet area to be on your own. Paid parking by the hour, get there early on busy days. 1/4 mile walk over bridges and walkways to get to beach. Big bathroom area. Loved all the space during spring break.
