Hosted by a nonprofit organization, Ferry Plaza Farmers Market offers diverse, local products in front of the Ferry Building. Head to this market to purchase high-quality ingredients for your dinner. When your bags become too heavy to carry, drop everything off at the Veggie Valet, a free service that holds your purchases until you're finished. If you have more questions, look for the attraction's info booth in front of the building, where you can also buy merchandise like aprons and canvas shopping bags. Using our world travel planner, San Francisco attractions like Ferry Plaza Farmers Market can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

Ferry Plaza marketplace is nice and it mostly sells plants, at least on a Sunday. Large number of stalls and good quality products.

I’ve travelled the world and always head to local markets. This one holds its own amongst the best. Located centrally, you can be sure to find the most beautiful produce in the area. Whether you’re after flowers, meat, seafood, Mushrooms, strawberries, peaches, cheese, vegetables or more, then this is the place to come. Plenty of take away eateries as well, something for everyone. Disability access is good. Take your time to stroll the stalls and chat the the stall holders. Well worth a visit.

While I mourn the business which have closed, I love all of the new additions. Still the same wonderful vibe, and the Saturday morning Farmer's Market is a beautiful bounty of fresh produce, flowers, and so much more. The Ferry Building is not to be missed if you're a visitor to San Francisco.
