Create an itinerary including Poipu Beach Park
Part of South Shore's popular beach, Poipu Beach Park is a good location for relaxing or partaking in beach activities. Go for a walk along the sand, or take a dip in the clear water. Snorkelers can spot sea turtles and colorful fish. Explore tide pools, and admire the collection of coral and shells. Keep an eye out for the monk seals that like to visit the beach. This area can experience strong tides that could make it dangerous to swim, so heed the lifeguards. Surfers and boogie boarders will find an area just for them. • Perfect place for Snorkeling. We also saw a sea turtle right on the beach. There is plenty of picnic tables, shade and kids playground. Restaurants within walking distance as well

  • If you go at night you can see the turtles sleeping! We saw 11 of them. Just don't use flashlights/phone! Go at sunset as well! Great views and you're pretty much guaranteed a turtle spotting!

  • This is a great place to snorkel and enjoy the wildlife. We saw a Monk Seal swimming in the bay area and lots of fish. The lifeguards doing a great job monitoring the swimmers for a safe experience. The shoreline does have decayed coral so bring water shoes to protect your feet.
  • Beautiful beach for sunset. Waves are calm to see turtles and seals at sunset Calm enough durning the day to snorkel. Nice variety of fish to see but reef is quite grey. Bring a beach chair and umbrella. Some days you can find people placing volleyball. Nice eateries close and free parking lot available.
