Heidrun Meadery, Point Reyes National Seashore

My family and I decided to take a chance a show up without a reservation on a Wednesday afternoon. Luckily it was slow and they were able to accommodate 4 of us for a tasting. The sparkling mead was so refreshing, without being too sweet. Each had a really nice flavor. We enjoyed it so much we bought 3 bottles. The woman who helped us was so kind and friendly. The grounds were beautiful. They have picnic tables with umbrellas, perfect for a picnic!

We adore Heidrun. Their membership is an incredible deal and gives us an "excuse" to get out to the coast every few months to pick up our quarterly order. We usually bring along another couple to partake in our membership included tastings and make a fun weekend trip out of it. Not only is champagne style mead a delicious twist on a traditional beverage but the location itself is lovely. Pack a picnic to bring along and enjoy their charming seating surrounded by flowers!
