  • I’ll begin by admitting I’m not a Harry Potter fan at all so maybe that skews my review a bit yet I don’t think it should. I went to the exhibit for my kid. Prefacing with that first, let me begin by saying the exhibit itself seemed fine from an aesthetic standpoint. The volume of activities also fine. What made the exhibit intolerable is how it is staffed and operated. The exhibit is largely interactive, which is great. What’s not great is not one time did a staff member provide guidance on how to interact with the exhibit and quite often groups of exhibit goes stood in the middle of the room waiting for something to happen. Sometimes it did and sometimes it didn’t. Sometimes people were able to interact with it and sometimes by the time the realization came what to do, it was time to move on. With how packed it was with exhibit goers, the profit was there to properly staff and train the staff. In the beginning when setting up the bracelets we were told to just input anything to save time. Well by doing so we failed to see our names properly appear in the first room wall display. I suggest a number of people working the line that waits to get in who can properly inform folks of expectations. Lastly, Harry Potter cats are rude. We experienced a bunch of entitled brats free from social ques who thought nothing to push past others to get their fix. Again, more staff who can provide protection against people who don’t know how to follow proper etiquette.
  • This place is a must go when you visit Philly or live near by. This place is good to check out the facts and do some practical. We had yearly membership and enjoyed every bit of it. They have discounted tickets for guests when you have membership. Some special exhibit may still requires tickets to be purchased even though we had membership. We also need to pay for the Parking even though we were members but they gave us some discount. Ask the counter when entering. Or, you can park nearby Franklin Institute and visit this place by walk. TIP: If you are driving, have your GPS available to you at all times when you are close to this area. Check the maps for one way roads in advance as this area can easily confuse us with one ways.
