A premier zoo for animal breeding, Philadelphia Zoo is known for the variety of primate species that live there. The Rare Animal Conservation Center offers an up-close view of rare species and features interactive graphics. In other areas you'll view the antics of otters and red pandas, as well as the grace of big cats. Take time to visit the aviaries, which teem with feathered friends. You'll be able to spot the zoo anywhere in the city--the Zooballoon, a tethered balloon that floats high above the skyline, marks its location. It's the ZOO. It's a lot of walking, it's hot and you get to see animals that you've seen before. But you do it cause the kids love it. It was good. The dinosaur trail was nice and well loved. Would definitely go again. Bring water. They sold out because it was so hot. Bring lunch too you don't want to wait in a hour long line for food.

Took my toddler granddaughter for her first visit . My daughter was gifted a membership. I highly recommend going that route. Parking was included very close to entrance of zoo. Go early, especially in the summer. We beat the crowds and it was nice and cool. I went to the zoo as a child, took my children, and it never disappoints. The park was clean with great signage and plenty of things to see and do. My granddaughter lived the petting zoo
