The Pensacola MESS (Math, Engineering, Science & Stuff) Hall is a hands on experience for exploration. It embraces the learner’s need to “mess about” with science to gain intuition in scientific phenomena. This concept incorporates the ideals of inquiry based science, where learners' explorations are driven by their own questions, rather than the questions dictated by an authority figure.Use our Pensacola trip planning app to visit Pensacola MESS Hall on your trip to Pensacola, and learn what else travelers and our writers recommend seeing nearby.

We loved the MESS hall! Elementary aged kids (and their parents) enjoyed the exhibits and kits. A great way to spend a few hours with family.

This place was awesome! My 5 yo had a blast. My 2 yo enjoyed the river. We were here for two and a half hours and did science experiments the whole time!! Great activity for a windy beach day. Can't wait to stop by next year and see what new things we can get into when we can read ourselves. Thank you to the awesome staff who was there to answer any questions and to suggest new mess kits for us to try out. My oldest even asked for more supplies to make her own creation. Loved it! Great stop!!

It’s a cute little place. They only give Active duty discounts and in my opinion, they should give to veterans as well because we wouldn’t be where we are if not for the people who fought for our freedom before now. The place could use a little newer items for visitors. There was a lot of re use of items that looked not so science like. Still cute place and nice staff.
