  • The park was fund to visit. The statue needs some attention as it is falling down. The walk on the beach was fun and visiting with the fishermen was interesting as well.

  • A lovely quiet haven. I had business in the area for the week, so my husband and our Labrador accompanied me and we spent the week in the campground. As usual, Florida state parks are absolutely amazing. The campground is right on the river which is absolutely lovely and apparently must have really good fishing because there were several fishermen staying at the campground. The outpost is an absolutely great place to grab some Cajun boiled peanuts and a beer. Our dog was totally welcome as we sat in the rocking chairs outside the outpost and watched the river float by.
  • Beautiful park with very private parking sites. The space is amazing, beautiful views, lake and also trails for hiking. We could find parking space without RSVP because is summer but if you want to come in the winter you should book 6 months in advance! Good luck!
