  • We visited this museum as a family today and it was an incredible experience. The guide was talented and eager to provide us as much information as possible. She was also very responsive to our questions. There was not a single situation where we were rushed through. It's amazing to see the mine being saved, with all the history and the science behind the same! Everyone should visit to understand the mining process and experience it!!! Loads of curious things that one should experience first hand instead of raising them in the reviews. Kudos and thanks to everyone involved in this effort to preserve the history and science for the younger generation!!!
  • This was an amazing experience! Not your regular run of the mill tourist attraction but it's family friendly and wheelchair accessible. Kids will love it! Good guides and they patiently answer all questions you may have. Tours start 10am and 1pm and take about 2 hours to complete. The tours are in a manageable group of 25 people at a time. They have a rock museum where they turn on ultraviolet light and all the rocks glow! The entire group let out a collective "wow"! It does get chilly once you are inside the mine. A light jacket is recommended.
