Admire masterpieces set against the backdrop of industrialization at Frick Collection. Housed in a historic Fifth Avenue mansion, the museum features industrialist Henry Frick's impressive collection of European paintings, sculptures, and 18th-century decor. Stroll through the well-preserved rooms lined with hundreds of works by some of Europe's most influential artists, including Francisco Goya, François Boucher, and El Greco. You also can view one of the largest collections of "art book" paintings in the world. Take the guesswork out of planning a New York City vacation by using our trip itinerary maker.

Only in NYC for for days, so I didn’t actually get to go, because the Frick Madison was shut four days straight because of Juneteenth and then the three days it is normally closed. Check before you...

After living in NYC for so many years, I couldn't believe I hadn't ever gone to the Frick. I'm so glad I did because it was spectacular. I've been to the Met over a dozen times and it still takes my breath away. I love the Frick on a similar level but appreciate how more manageable it is for an afternoon visit. I recommend downloading the app so you can listen to the commentary on each individual piece. It's worth that extra bit of time listening and learning!
