  • My friend and I visited the museum to view the Nefatari Exhibit and decided to instead enjoy the surrounding Botanical Garden in City Park. On this particular day, which was a Wednesday, there were several high schools at the museum for the exhibit. So, the Botanical Garden, was an excellent substitution. We greatly enjoyed the variety of vegetation, the trails, and architecture of the various types of gardens within this huge area! The proximity to the museum made the trip to the gardens a great experience. We have been to the museum before and found it very exciting and educational. I highly recommend it as a place to expand knowledge and awareness of the different types of cultures of the world and the many expressions of those cultures and more!
  • This is one of my favorite places to visit by myself when I need a little break while the kids are at school. The exhibits are really good and they have a good range of masterpieces that definitely grant a visit. Recently I saw the Nefertari exhibit and I think they did a really good job at putting it together. It was very complete and interesting. Their cafe has some amazing choices. I loved how during the exhibit they had an Egyptian inspired menu. I thought that was a really nice touch and the food was great.
