Founded in 1853 and spanning 526 hectares (1,300 acres) New Orleans City Park is one of the largest and oldest urban parks in America. Stroll through this green space to discover the botanical garden, sculpture garden, and golf courses. Check out the antique wooden carousel in the park's amusement area, which is more than 100 years old and one of the few of its kind left in the country. The park also is home to the city's soccer stadium and the New Orleans Museum of Art, considered one of the finest art museums in the South. Rent a boat to explore the park's 18 km (11 mi) of lagoons, lakes, and bayous. Bikes are also available for rent. This is one of the first places my BFF and I stopped to when we first made it into NOLA. Although parking is NOT the greatest here, walk, take a taxi or an Uber, it's still a beautiful place to visit.

We went to the botanical gardens to celebrate mother's day early. It was beautiful. I really enjoyed it. Only thing food should be more accessible you have to enter the amusement park. We ended up going for burgers and returning to the singing tree. Very nice we walked near the water and fed the ducks geese pigeon and turtle 🐢 very nice day at city Park.

Celebration In the Oaks Xmas light show. Our tickets were from 9-10pm. Long line but it moved swiftly. I appreciated how they included the kids name on the NICE list and the adults on Santa’s NAUGHTY list. The displays were average, nothing with a wow factor in my opinion but the kids enjoyed it. Took about 25 minutes to maneuver through the park.
