Encompassing 14.2 hectares (35 acres) of mangrove forest, coastal dunes, and a white sandy beach, Clam Pass Park provides opportunities for exploration and relaxation. Its peaceful location away from the road means the beach is only accessible via a 1.2 km (0.75 mi) boardwalk running through a mangrove forest. Enjoy a nature stroll along the pass or catch the tram that runs throughout the day. From the boardwalk through this typical southwestern Florida ecosystem, you can spot three different species of mangrove tree, colorful butterflies, and an array of birds. At the beach, unwind on the soft sand or paddle in the clear water. Concession stands offer chair and umbrella rentals, food, and drinks. Clam Pass Park reviews
We jumped on the free shuttle to the beach and this was great - although it's not that far to walk, it was hot and we had lots of stuff to carry! The beach is lovely and very suitable for families...

You have to get to the loading area (by car, bus, uber, etc), a golf cart with 8 seats picks you up and takes you down a winding board walk through a tropical vegetation coastline, and you come out...

Exquisite white sand and very clear water. The eatery up on the deck area was clean and quick. Umbrella areas were available if you want to eat in the shade. Clam Pass & Vanderbilt Beaches are DEFINITELY well worth visiting. The February Mid-Winter Recess & Spring Break bring a lot of traffic, but STILL WELL WORTH the visit! Will DEFINITELY come again!
Take the golf cart. We did not know how far it was as there was no information about it. Must be a mile on the boardwalk through the mangroves. Good facilities and beach. Arrive early to the parking lot as it fills up quickly. Water was a lot colder than I expected. Around 66F and very few people were in the ocean. Bring good sunblock strong sun.
