Create an itinerary including South Marco Beach
Enjoy some sand-and-surf time without large crowds at South Marco Beach. In addition to being a cozy place for swimming, snorkeling, and sunning, the beach is rich in seashells you can collect. The sand is relatively coarse, meaning it's less likely to stick to your body and clothes when wet; some find it uncomfortable to walk on barefoot, so bring flip-flops or sneakers. You'll find public restrooms in the parking lot next to the beach. Parking tickets are valid for the whole day. If you need a chair or an umbrella, you should bring your own. • Lovely beach to view the sunset! If you’re into yoga, there is a group that does yoga on the beach on specific mornings and evenings.

  • I was offered a spot to park and a parking ticket from someone who was leaving. Once I received the ticket I looked over it to see if it said anything about non transferable, or anything that tied it to a specific vehicle plate. There was not. When I looked up there was a security guard requesting the ticket from me and threatening a $30 ticket. I confronted the guard later to understand where I should know that the ticket can't be transferred(seeing as I couldn't see where that was written or posted) Ultimately, I was told it was considered "theft of property".... (citing no real reason why becuase there was nothing saying that the the ticket should be for one car) In the end, it was $10 to park... not a big deal, but if you are going to enforce and threaten tickets.... the rules had better be very clear. P.s. the beach was lovely
  • Horrible, horrible, horrible. The beach is nice but the parking is a mess. It seems like this place was designed so that only rich people can get in. Either you stay in a resort or live here to be able to enjoy this beach. But south Marco beach parking is a mess.
