Purportedly the first "cageless" animal park in the United States, the touring roads through Lion Country Safari weave among animals commonly found on African safari. After purchasing a ticket to the park, you'll be handed an audiotape or CD to play as a guided tour for your drive. It is important to drive slowly and keep doors and windows closed at all times. In the chimpanzee exhibit, chimps mimic their natural behavior by migrating from island to island within the park, and the exhibit are also used to research the primates' complex behavior. After the driving tour, the visit Safari World Ferris wheel, petting zoo, and rides. A good way to spend part of a day. All together we were there over 3 hours. Nice drive through lion country. Nice petting zoo and my granddaughter loved the splash park. Dining options were fair...

WE LOVED THIS PLACE! Our toddler was a bit fussy the entire time, but we made the best of it and he really enjoyed the splash pad. The drive through portion lasts about an hour to and hour and a half, but it seems to go by so fast with all the different animals! Most people were pretty patient as others took pictures and enjoyed themselves. The walk through part was a little shorter, but still fun too. We got to feed the giraffes, which was a nice attraction. The splash pad was perfect for our toddler and kids of all ages, really. All of the staff were very friendly, informative, and knowledgeable. We will definitely come back here and highly recommend for others to visit too!

We’ve gone here with family and friends and it’s always a great time. The park is really well laid out and you can see a huge variety of different animals. It’s really impressive to see just how big and powerful the rhinos are up close and personal! Now that’s some power packed into their bodies! My wife and I always have as much fun as the kids, us all being huge animal lovers. The staff is super friendly and helpful. My kids’ favorite part is feeding the giraffes, those beautiful and peaceful gentle giants. This park is a must do....over and over!
