Hanalima Bakery, Lihue

For great baked goods stop here! Came here with our three kids looking for some baked goods, and we scored! We all got good stuff, the crab roll, Nutella roll, banana bread, PINEAPPLE bread ( amazing) and banana bread with the chocolate swirl. All delicious. I would recommend them all. It’s a quick turn off, right on the main road. Across from a shell station. A little hole in the wall, but a place to visit for sure! No lines, quick in and out. We also grabbed their sour skittles, freeze dried. They are a bit pricey, but if you buy two you get a discount on the second bag. Great treat, something different, as we always looking for that uniqueness when we travel. The bread on the crab roll was a bit much. Could have used more crab, less bread. That being said, 5 stars for having great bread. Traveling with three kids, who’s taste vary, finding a bakery that has something for all, without a complaint, is a plus. This place is that stop. Try the banana bread, and the pineapple bread. They do serve other foods, and should we have needed a spot for more indulgence, we would have been back. I’d like to try it all!

I dont usually write reviews but i am very disappointed with the quality of the food here. They make the baked goods look really good but it's mostly just bread. This bakery used to be pretty good but has gone down hill. Blueberry roll was just bread with a little bit of blueberry jam on top with a small slice around the whole thing that makes it look stuffed but it isnt. The crab roll was just as bad. Owners please show some pride in your company and stop skimping out and ripping the public off.
