Lazy Dog Adventures, Key West

Great kayaking experience! Everyone is friendly and very accommodating! We had a great tour guide (I believe her name was Heather?) who was very knowledgeable and clearly loves what she does and the environment. We also got to see a Manatee at the end of our tour. I suggest going on a very sunny day because you can see the beauty of the waters clearly. I went on a partly cloudy day which was okay but I appreciated the environment even more when there were moments of the sun's brightness. Nonetheless, it was a great tour!

I’d like to start with saying I don’t normally leave reviews unless a place is truly worthy of one. With that being said this place is truly deserving and I wish I could give them more stars! While traveling to the Keys with my own paddle board I was having a hard time finding a place to launch from and have a nice area to enjoy. I found Lazy dog Adventures and when I called to ask if I could join a tour with my own board they informed me that they were completely booked for the next few days for tours but still encouraged me to come and use their ramp to go paddle on my own and enjoy the area. Since I was traveling with someone who didn’t have their own board I asked if we could rent one from them and still go on our own and they welcomed it with open arms. When we got there the next day the staff went above an beyond! Not only did they let us rent a nicely kept board they even gave my BF a lesson for free since it was his first time. They also gave us a map and showed us where we should go and all the different areas to explore. While we were out paddling every now and then We would catch up to a group and the guides would check in on us to see if we needed anything and even allow us to hang around to listen to the cool facts they would be telling the group about whatever area we were in at the time. The area they are in had lots of mangroves to explore and the water is crystal clear and the area isn’t crowded compared to other popular paddling spots like the state parks. Again I wish I could give more than 5 stars! We will definitely be visiting them again anytime we are in the keys!
