Dolphins Plus Marine Mammal Responder, Key Largo

Folks, this is an experience that will be both informative and eye opening all at once. The staff here wants to make sure you understand everything that happens with the program so you can get the best interaction possible. I can't say enough about everyone here. They all take great pride in what they do and it shows. Now depending on your comfort level you can have an encounter that will keep you pretty dry but if you really want to learn about and understand how dolphins live in their environment, what these animals are capable of and how we are affecting them then get in the water for their interaction program. Again, the trainers will talk you through step by step on what to expect so that you know exactly what is going to happen. Step out of your comfort zone and take advantage of this experience. I don't want to tell you everything that happens in this program because I want you to have that first time amazement just like I did. Now once that is over do not skip the gift shop. I know this sounds like a sales pitch but this facility is a non profit and everything you spend goes right back into their programs for the care of the dolphins and their rescue program. Again, this whole thing is for you to have a great experience but in the grand scheme of things understand that this is to expand your understanding of how we are affecting these animals and giving this facility the ability to take care of the animals in their care and also the ability to help those individual animals in need. If you can't do any program please consider just donating but if you get the chance to take part in this then do it. It will be a memory you and the family will relive for years to come.

My Mrs. treated me to this as a surprise treat on our long weekend escape from the Northern snows of Pennsylvania. I must say though, it was a truly great time and a very memorable experience for us both. Definitely something to put on your bucket list and complete the next time you and the family are down in the Keys. Our Trainer Christine was the best! Very informative and dedicated to the well being of the Dolphins.
