    This was one of the best days we had on the island. We were staying in Lihue and it really took most of the day to go on this adventure. We went all the way to the top and didn't do any hiking. Just.....  more

    I will always be SOO grateful for the reviews that I read. Someone recommended driving straight to Kalalau Lookout (the top of Waimea Canyon) then stop at various points on your way down. This helps.....  more

    One of the nicest views to be had. Explore a little too. There are trails all around. Don't forget to stop at the lodge and get some Portuguese bean soup.

    Beautiful lookout especially for being able to practically just drive up to it. If you're feeling adventurous, we'd recommend hiking on the ridge trail. It's technically closed to the public and for good reason - it's pretty steep at points and pretty much the most terrifying hike I've been on. If you feel it's in your ability though, it's worth it!!
