Hi, I'm Will Lydgate, co-owner of the farm with my sister Emily. We're the fifth generation of the Lydgate family on Kauai, and we're dedicated to sharing our knowledge, so ten years ago we started the Steelgrass Chocolate Farm Tour, the only chocolate tour and tasting on a genuine family farm on Kauai.
We're also growing our farm, expanding from our current thousand chocolate trees toward our goal of four thousand. We are already Kauai's largest chocolate grower, and reaching that goal will make our orchard one of the largest in the state -- which also means in the country, since Hawaii is the only state where chocolate trees will grow.

We had a fabulous day today on our visit to the farm. The entire crew was friendly and kind! Henry did a great job explaining everything we saw. Answered questions expertly and made the people asking the question feel really good about asking great questions. He presented flawlessly and had a wonderful personality! Each tasting station was delicious. We highly recommend this tour!

My wife and I loved this tour. A highlight for us on Kauai. I was a little hesitant to part with the money, but my son and his wife took the tour in August 2021 and he said it was a must do. He was absolutely right. Very educational and the staff was highly personable. Henry did a great job! What a great way to spend our morning. Thanks Lydgate Farms.
