This is a must hike for novice hikers. This was our second pillbox hike and the views here were amazing! Would recommend either early morning or late afternoon hike when it starts to cool down because there isn’t any shade. There are a few steep drops, but overall it’s a great hike. And when you’re done, head down to the beach at the bottom of the hill to cool off.

I enjoyed this hike. We found it to be fairly moderate but we were dressed in sun shirts with head coverage and long but breathable pants. Also we were visiting from altitude. There are some wash outs so wear shoes with good traction. Bring sunscreen. Even better, wear clothes to cover your skin. The views are nice though and worth the quick trip.
