Art enthusiasts come to The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens to see the flower gardens and Meissen porcelain collection. The museum's educational programs provide hands-on art experiences to more than 50,000 students. While self-guided tours are popular, the museum also offers guided tours that provide in-depth insight. Docent-led tours require a fee. What a delightful surprise for a first timer! Museum and botanical garden combo definitely was the best way to spend a Saturday afternoon while visiting Jacksonville for the week!!! The museum art was impressive and unique! Most of the art was captivating and displayed with taste! The grounds were beautifully kept and each gallery room was one surprise after another! Truly enjoyed that aspect of the museum experience! The botanical gardens were my absolute favorite!!! Exquisitely kept and photo perfect! Their luscious gardens were a dream to walk through and offered a magical experience. It truly was a wonderland to discover all the areas. The map provided helped navigate it but it’s a paradise to get lost in it! Definitely a must visit when you’re in the area! Highly recommend it for a solo visit or with family!

Loved it. Nice Museum to visit with your family and friends. Need about 2 hours to really check everything out. Parking is across the street. We went on a Wednesday at 10am and it was pretty empty, but by lunch is was busy. Go after 4pm on Tuesday's and it free to get in. They do offer some food and drinks on the premises. Super clean and the staff was helpful and knowledgeable. Good news it's in a nice neighborhood one to lots of restaurants. Lots of people taking pictures so you can bring in a camera.
