Not only a popular amusement park but also a renowned concert venue, Six Flags Great Adventure contains eleven themed areas, three of them designed with small children in mind. In 2012, the complex combined its 65 hectares (160 acre) with a 140 hectare (350 acre) animal park, making this one of the largest amusement parks in the world. Choose from over 100 rides, shows, and special events, or go on an off-road safari adventure for a chance to see and feed a range of big and small exotic animals. To help find your way inside the enormous park, pick up a map at the front gate. Save money and avoid long lines by buying your tickets online. Plan your visit to Six Flags Great Adventure and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Jackson attractions planner.

If you go to Six Flags Great Adventure I highly recommend disregarding all rides EXCEPT Skull Mountain. Skull Mountain is by far the best roller coaster in the park. Featuring thrilling drops, twist and turns. I do no suggest children under the age of 15 go on due to the darkness and scariness. If you are looking for an amazing once in a lifetime experience please go on this roller coaster you will not be disappointed. I rode Skull Mountain 10 consecutive times today. Getting ready to do 10 more tomorrow. GO SKULL MOUNTAIN!

Has some excellent roller coasters. The crowds can get a little crazy in season, regardless of the day as long as the weather is nice, so if you're not a big crowd person be aware of that. A couple of coasters require you leave loose items either with a non-rider or in a locker. They do have lockers right by those coasters that are reasonable. The park is also cashless, but does have some places that allow you to change your cash for a card.
