From the early days of biplanes to the jet era, Air Force Armament Museum houses a huge collection of historical aircraft and weaponry. The museum’s main attractions include the legendary P-51 Mustang, arguably the ultimate piston-powered fighter, and the SR-71 Blackbird, which soared at record-breaking speeds and altitudes. Aircraft are displayed both inside and outside the building. Explore the museum's collection of bombs and missiles, featuring World War I hand grenades, laser-guided bunker busters, and more. Track the history of machine guns used in air combat and anti-aircraft defense. Admission to the museum is free, but donations are welcome. CLOSED ON FEDERAL HOLIDAYS. Wonderful mostly outdoor museum with lots of great aviation history. Husband who is a military buff loved it. You can’t climb in or on the planes but kids still enjoyed it.

Wonderful place, got to see some awesome aerial combat artifacts! Excellent displays both indoors and out. Bring the kids, fun for the whole family. They also have picnic tables, so we enjoyed a nice lunch before exploring the grounds. Free admission, so don't forget to donate. Also hit up the gift shop on the way out, lots of good stuff.

Very educational. We were in the area for Spring Break from Texas. My kids enjoyed looking at all the different planes. Lots of good info and history to look back on. It would have been neat to go in some of the planes but it was not offered on this specific day we were there. We loved that it was free! It was especially fun for my husband who served in the AF himself. Highly recommend!
