As a part of Everglades National Park, the 24 km (15 mi) trail winds through alligator territory and is also home to turtles, deer, and other wildlife. Good place to go biking! A 15-mile paved loop. It's best to bring your own bikes. Rentals will cost around $20. You may also choose to ride the tram for some fee, around $27. I love that there are tons of wildlife on the west side of the trail especially in winter. There is an observation tower halfway of the bike loop. Don't miss it out! It's a great way to view the vast wetlands. There are also short walking trails along the way under a few canopies of trees. Other things to note, parking fee is $30 and is good for 7 days. Restrooms and vending machines are located at the entrance. Please bear in mind that since this is the everglades, there are no shades the entire ride/walk so sunscreen and water bottles are a must. On the upside, you'll get tanned after exploring.

Great place to see South Florida wild life(guaranteed). Not for toddlers unless strapped in a stroller. Perfect for out of town guests to walk the paved walkways, enjoy the river grass, see birds, snakes, and of course, alligators. Plenty of parking, plenty of gators. Clean bathrooms. Staff is present. Tram service around paved loop into Everglades. Either rent or bring bikes. Some parts have no fenced areas, ergo, toddlers must be in strollers and small children need to be closely watched.
