Parvin State Park is a state park located in the southwestern part of New Jersey. Situated around Parvin Lake on the edge of the Pine Barrens, the park includes pine forests, hardwood forests, and swamps. Spent our anniversary weekend here and it was nice. We ran out of firewood and were able to purchase some from the welcome center. For NJ residents, the campsites are extremely cheap. The grounds were clean and there are good hiking trails all around. Great weekend getaway!

I hadn't been to Parvin since I was a teenager with the scouts. I'm now 45 with my own teenagers and we were looking for somewhere new for some camping and fishing. Parvin was everything we wanted. Nice campground, good fishing in the lakes and not too far from home in Philly. We got a nice mix of fish...bass, sunnies, bluegills, perch and pumpkinseeds. Would definitely go back here and will keep it in mind for future trips.
