An amusement park on the border between North and South Carolina, Carowinds began as a dream project of businessman Earl Patterson Hall. The park is divided into themed sections, including a water park, dinosaurs and Planet Snoopy for little kids. You can experience intense roller coaster rides in some sections of the park. Many of the rides are interactive games, but you can also find more traditional carnival rides. Consider upgrading your ticket with a Fast Lane wristband, which gets you to the front of the lines on the majority of rides. Took my family here while we were in NC for another event. It was OK, but I would not recommend this place to anyone or go there again myself. It is too expensive for what you get. Lines were long..... more

Hubby and I had a BLAST at Carowinds! Of you are a thrill seeker and love roller coasters this is the place to be. Fury 325 is the best coaster I have ever been on. I highly recommend the Fast Pass. Works for almost every ride. Had we not gotten that we wouldn't have rode all the rides as some lines were as long as 2hrs! If you purchase you fast pass before you arrive it will save you $5-$10.

We went to enjoy Carowinds on Monday June 21 2021. We had a great time. They did a great job besides not having enough employee's. Its understandable due to the times. The lifeguards seem focused. I appreciated that hard work to attention.
