Columcille Megalith Park, Bangor

This was my first trip to Columcille, inspired by the ancient Iona spiritual community off the coast of Scotland. There is no charge to visit, although a $10 contribution per guest is suggested. I've travelled to unusual places, but this is a truly unique site. Doing some research before visiting will enrich your experience. It is a trip to another time, another world--a wild yet serene place of ancient trees and great boulders. The breeze sings; crisp leaves whisper as they tumble along. At Columcille, one need not be lost to find oneself.

Beautiful little chunk of nature with many natural rock formations and more walk paths than I can remember to get lost on for hours. I only give it 4*'s because it could have been both more informal at the front entrance about the place, and as you walk through the paths and old structures. More facts for more stars guy's 👍 ....overall experience was wonderful went with sis and a friend and even in the light rain had a blast. A must see for any hiking/nature enthusiast!
