We took the opportunity of booking in advance a tour of this wonderful property. The tour was conducted by the marvellous Clare who enthralled us with the history of a most unusual house which has certainly witnessed some momentous events over the last 500 plus years. We enjoyed the tour but was well aware that a tour of the house is not suitable for those who are not able to negotiate steep steps to the first floor.
Delicious cup of hot chocolate. Incredible place. Sat in a quiet and very historic room to have our drink. The owners very welcoming too.
