What a lovely place to visit!! Full of interesting history and beautifully restored boats. If you are visiting the lakes, add this to your to do list. The staff are all friendly, the museum is wonderfully built and the cafe serves delicious food. I can particularly recommend the Cullen Skink! Absolutely delicious! Will definitely be back to bring other friends and family.

Fabulous place. We originally went for breakfast which was yummy. Stayed for a Steam boat ride around Windermere, then stayed longer admiring the amazing view from the cafe tables. The staff were lovely, particularly the very informative chap on the boat, the lovely ladies at the reception desk and the cafe staff. With a parking voucher so no parking fee, we could have stayed even longer. Definitely go there if you get the chance.
