Nestled between rolling green hills, Jesus Church remains best known for its stained glass windows designed by artists of Arts and Crafts and Pre-Raphaelite movements. The first church was built on the site in 1506, and the current building from 1736 retains much of the original design, including massive beams under the slate roof. The clock tower with a steep staircase opening to the west gallery dates to an 18th-century addition. Once done admiring the interior, take a quiet stroll between the yew trees planted in the churchyard.
