Holly Hagg Community Farm, Sheffield

Holly Hagg is a 3 acre field on the Northern slopes of the beautiful and historic Rivelin Valley. The vision is to gradually enhance the land, creating meadows, ponds, orchards and vegetable cultivation spaces for people to grow together using sustainable, organic principles based on Permaculture. We keep a few alpacas to graze the meadow and produce fleece (and manure) but mostly because they are a wonderful addition to the land. Short courses in country skills such as dry stone walling, willow crafts, bee keeping and of course growing food are part of our vison; reskilling people and reconnecting us with the land and our means of survival.

The site is managed and developed by the constituted organisation Friends of Holly Hagg. We welcome anyone who is interested in what we are doing, whether its just for a look around, to give a few hours help, or to get involved in a longer term project. We are there one or two days a week - details posted on our page.
