Boasting clean sand and shingle, Seascale Beach allows plenty of space for walking, swimming, picnicking, beach combing, and other seaside activities. Located near the attractive village of the same name that retains its old Victorian charm, the beach makes a good starting point for inland walks. A restored wooden jetty remains quite popular with sea anglers and water sports enthusiasts. On clear day, the views over the Irish Sea extend as far as the hills of Galloway and the Isle of Man. Nearby attractions include two stone circles that bear evidence of Norse and Roman settlements. Miles of sand and shingle, plenty of area's to sit and get your breath, clean and tidy and you even get to see a man walk up and down the beach prodding the sand to test for radistionš¤£š¤£ all my doubts about being anywhere near a nuclear power plant / storage facility have been dispelled, so come on give this place a look, proper little gem.

Nice and tidy area, parking is free (donations welcome) with plenty of parking spaces. Play area for the kids, public toilets (nothing special but clean). I went when tide was out which revealed the sandy beach ā±. Beautiful place to sit and relax and watch the world go by.
