The Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft, Sandtoft

An historic place to visit with an interest in road transport. Volunteers work at restoring old trolley buses back to working and running order. Open to public certain weekends throughout year when buses can be seen working and a free ride can be obtained in exchange for and old 1d penny old currency coin obtained on entrance fee to museum. Other static museum pieces include 1950's prefab dwelling showing how we used to live. Historic shop window displays, cinema. Hot and cold refreshments available, drinks, and toilets. Worth a visit.

A brilliant day out and the Grandchildren were very interested in the history of the trolley buses, the pre fab house, and the toy museum. We had a very informative and witty tour around Belton and Epworth which was very enjoyable. You can tell that all of the staff are very passionate about the museum.
