Great small independent place in the centre of Penrith. Only children's books on the ground floor but plenty of other's upstairs. Found a couple of interesting reads to buy.

I do like visiting The Hedgehog Bookshop. If whatever I want isn't on the shelves, it never seems too much trouble for it to be ordered in. Do I mind waiting for an ordered book to arrive, no! On occasion; I emerge with a book or two more than I intended buying, so I do succumb to its temptations. Staff are friendly and helpful. This bookshop is an excellent reason for making the effort to visit the high street.
