These gardens are great. Buying a map might be a good idea or using Google maps to keep a track of where you’ve been. The gardens are immense, eclectic and interesting. I can’t even begin to imagine what they are like in the summer. The cafe is really good. We sat outside with a ploughman’s each. Loads of beautiful outdoor spaces to sit. We had a cheeky robin join us. Great plant shop and lots of secondhand tools.

Beautiful gardens showcasing both amazing plants and exemplar design. You can clearly see a lot of work goes into maintaining them both by the owners, staff and volunteers. Truly wonderful place to visit for a day out, definitely remember a bottle of water and a hat if a sunny day as much of the gardens are in the open with little shade. Lovely tea rooms serving small bites such as cakes and scones. Soup of the day also available. Limited selection of drinks - tea, coffee, hot chocolate, lemon and ginger tea, elderflower cordial or squash. Would be nice to have more choice of cold drinks, especially on a warm day.
