Time and Tide Museum is centered around Great Yarmouth's rich maritime and fishing heritage, mainly focusing on the history of Yarmouth and the herring curing works. As Norfolk's third largest museum, there is something for everyone here. The museum offers various exhibitions, including a typical row, a type of narrow street from 1913. There is also a Yarmouth fishing wharf from the 1950s as well as hands-on displays, films, audio guides, and children's activities. You can even take the wheel of a steam drifter. When you need rest, relax in the spacious courtyard beneath a canopy of sails, surrounded by historic fishing boats. • Lovely museum, loads to see and do. Arranged really well, with a route to follow. Toilets and a gift shop too.

  • A gem of a museum with lots to interest a wide range of ages. Housed in the old herring packing works, you can still smell the smoke in the smoke houses! Learn all about the fishing history of Yarmouth - including the invention of the fish finger - but leave time for the excellent local history displays and seasonal exhibition. The car park outside is much cheaper than the sea front parking.
  • A wonderful museum with plenty of features and exhibits showing life back in the day. There are plenty of seating area's. Some of the doorways are low, but the museum is so lovely to visit. Very clean throughout. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend a visit and give yourself a good 3hrs when visiting.
