Easby Abbey, or the Abbey of St Agatha, is a ruined Premonstratensian abbey on the eastern bank of the River Swale on the outskirts of Richmond in the Richmondshire district of North Yorkshire, England. The site is privately owned but maintained by English Heritage and can be reached by a riverside walk from Richmond Castle. Although this is a lovely building there is very little information on it. We didn't know what some of the rooms were, especially those in little corridors. It is still worth a visit.

Fascinating place to visit. Stopped off on our walk and spent almost an hour wandering around. The information provided within each section was also great.

Lucky to get a parking place. Nice walk to the Station cafe. Path is level and almost completely surfaced. (It's the old railway line to the station) Suitable for buggies, wheelchairs and us older folks!!

As a resident of Easby, I'd like to mention that parking is limited to that provided by the parish church so it may be difficult finding a space if there's a church service. Also there are no public toilets. The closest are at The Station in Richmond, a 25 minute walk away. I hope you enjoy your visit.
