Discover exotic and rare birds as you explore Birdland, set in 4 hectares (9 acres) of gardens and woodland. Flamingos, pelicans, cranes, storks, cassowary, and waterfowl live in the riverside habitat with parrots, owls, pheasants, hornbills, touracos, and many more inhabiting over 50 aviaries. Warm up by visiting the temperate and desert houses, which are home to birds who enjoy hotter and drier conditions. Stretch your legs by exploring Marshmouth Nature reserve, a secluded 1 hectare (2.5 acre) trail through marshland, ponds, meadow, and copse with views over the River Windrush. Check the website beforehand for the shedule of bird feedings and “meet the keeper” sessions. To plan Bourton-on-the-Water vacation without wasting time, ask Inspirock to design an itinerary.

  • Visited with a 7 and 3 year old. Very good value and plenty to do and see. Every area well kept and lots of picnic tables for families. Good interactive areas and very friendly staff.

  • Great experience! Took my partner to feed the penguins. Went on for 40 minutes, really impressed. Great price for the experience and the rest of the park was also brilliant. Beautiful and very well looked after. Can't complain!! Also very informative. Dog friendly but please loom for the no dog zones and some people ignored them and stressed a few owls out. The playground looked great so good trip if you have children. Also have a dinosaur activity for them and if completed they receive a badge.
  • Spent about 4 hours looking at all the different birds and exploring the dinosaur trail which the kids enjoyed solving the puzzle sheet. The penguin feeding is a highlight and learnt some interesting facts. Would have been better if the keeper had a microphone so that he could be heard more easily above the audience chatter. Was reasonably priced for what you 'get'. If visiting, note the information on the website about parking. Public car park is virtually next door but very busy and about £6 for up to 5 hrs. Very quaint and beautiful village a couple of minutes walk.
