  • A beautiful and interesting time capsule of an era gone by. A wonderful feat of earlier engineering that transports you back to the very fibres of that time. You can see, feel and even smell the age of the wooden beams and machinery providing you with your very own brief time machine. Out back you can see how the water power is harnessed and channelled into the wheels that power the machines. A clever set of channels and elevated water chutes add yet more wonder to the feat of engeering. Above this cleverly adapted garden is the water cascades that provide the speed and power of the water. It's sound a constant source of tranquility juxtaposed against the gritty industrial feel of the mill. If you're in the area and like a good revel in times gone by, then pop up to the mill and take a look for yourself.
  • Lovely trip with the kids, who found it thoroughly fascinating. Would happily visit again.
