Discover Blickling Estate, once the home of the Boleyn family and voted the most haunted house in Britain in a National Trust survey in 2007. Explore the house, inspect the book collection, and hear the real voices of the servants who once worked there. Take in the moat, ancient yew hedges, garden ornaments, topiary, and kitchen garden. Walk, rent a bike, or ride a Segway around the parkland. Watch croquet, admire the shell fountain, find the secret garden, and relax with a picnic. Stop for a pint at the Buckinghamshire Arms and browse the largest collection of secondhand books in the National Trust before departing. • Visited Blocking Hall with family and friends, we'd taken our own picnic. Lots of places to sit and eat and also cafes inside the grounds. Plenty of parking. Would recommend been a member of national trust as you can then visit all locations. Overall great day. Staff are volunteers and very knowledgeable of the history.
  • I love this place. There is always lots to see and the gardens are lovely. Deducting a star as on this visit the NT volunteer in the car park was quite rude. I pay enough for membership, I don't need some snooty comment when entering the grounds.
