  • Wonderful place to visit with a wonderful collection of aircraft, cars, bikes and even a couple of vintage buses. Well marshalled and volunteers were excellent. The best part about Shuttleworth is that, unlike most museums, their main aim is to keep their aircraft flying. The garden is lovely to and there is a play are for children
  • Our sat nav had a sense of humour and sent us somewhere that was about 10 minutes from the current site entrance but luckily we were able to follow the signposts from there. The entry staff were friendly and helpful and we parked in the large car park before walking down to the hangers. The hangers were well laid out, the planes weren't crammed in unlike some places we've visited and there was an information board giving the history of the individual aircraft. As it is a personal collection there were lots of fascinating anecdotes about the aircraft. Almost all of them have been restored to flying condition as well, hence the drip trays for oil! After a couple of hours of brain overload we sat in the cafe and watched the airfield activity before heading home. As our ticket covered a month's entrance we came back the next day to visit the Swiss Garden.
