  • Walk along part of the Teesdale Wayby the beautiful river Tees. So tranquil and peaceful just the sound of the water n the rocks and the birds singing. The Bridge is now closed and has been for a while, itsnot up to modern day traffic abd the coarscto repair it are high. DCC has the road closed ans the Bridge locked - no sign of untoward damage.
  • Visited Whorlton Lido in the 70s and loved it especially the Rapids and waterfalls, however I've just visited the suspension bridge and it's going to be closed for around a year due to one of the supports needing a repair, you can walk over the bridge or cycle just vehicles are not allowed as concrete blocks have been placed either side of the bridge. This information was provided by two lovely ladies who live opposite the suspension bridge in Whorlton so thanks to them for this👌
