The mansion, begun around 1640, is the largest house in Cambridgeshire. Over the centuries, many notable architects worked to expand and improve the house, including Thomas Chicheley, Henry Flitcroft, and H.E. Kendall. The estate is renowned for its north park, which includes belts of woodland, gentle rolling hills, restored lakes, and a gothic tower. • I love this place. Have a national trust membership so visit often. Love the farm animals especially when they have babies. Only been in the hall once but was lovely. Gardens are great and we often have a picnic too!
  • "The Belts" are a great place to walk in the summer when the sun is hot. UPDATE: 2021 The Belts now closed to visitors. Three paths along the edge are not nearly as interesting and there is little shade. Better for cycling, though.
