Kharkiv Municipal Gallery is one of the first Ukrainian galleries, which started the process of popularization and institutionalization of contemporary art. MG stays a representative of main tendencies and processes in Ukrainian art. The gallery combines the programs and exhibitions of traditional paintings, graphics, sculpture, photo and contemporary art projects and new media. Also, the gallery became a space for realization of educational, social and awareness projects, particular communicative and experimental platform. It actively promotes the actualization of art and increase cultural activity of Kharkiv residents. For 20 years the gallery held a number of significant international projects, and collaborated with artists / galleries from Austria, Great Britain, Germany, France, the USA, Iran, Poland, Russia, Lithuania, Moldova, Israel, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Serbia, Slovakia, Namibia. There are many hundreds of projects, exhibitions and festival programs in the asset of the gallery.
