A history spanning over a thousand years, vibrant nightlife, and a mix of Georgian and modern architecture make Dublin a popular European tourist destination.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Bru na Boinne and Olde Shillelagh Stick Maker. For shopping fun, head to Glasrai Goodies or DesignYard. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Dublin: Jerpoint Glass Studio (in Stoneyford) and Kilkenny (Kilkenny Castle & Kilkenny Handwrought Silver). There's still lots to do: browse the exhibits of Kilmainham Gaol Museum, see the interesting displays at Guinness Storehouse, stroll around St Stephens Green, and admire the striking features of Trinity College Dublin.

For shopping fun, head to Burren Perfumery or Cottage Handcrafts. Visiting Cliffs of Moher and Connemara National Park & Visitor Centre will get you outdoors.
